PRAISE SONGS POURING This body of work expresses my joy in creation - play of color, delight in shape, love of texture. Sensing into origins, emergence, primordial shape-shifting, these layered acrylic monoprints beckon us to fall into intimacy with life processes, remembrance of cellular intelligence, and resonance with chaos-coming-into-form.
They are praise songs of life, celebrations of miracle, anthems of evolution from micro to macro. In the beginning there was the first sound. Vibration. Song. Collapsed wave forms turning into particles in amniotic potential. Our bodies are filled with salt water like the ocean's body. Billions upon billions of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and archaea constellate our human ecosystem, non-separate from the Earth's bio-ecology. Intimacy penetrates both ways.
These images explore this fundamental interpenetration and co-emergence, call us to plunge into a hidden world both still and moving, and beg us to hold sacred and celebrate the life-weave and nature-soul within and beyond us.
